Revotruck from Mecalac powered by Perkins Engines Made in the UK

To find out more, Peter Haddock caught up with Adam Phillips of Mecalac at the Executive Hire Show, who talked him through the key features of the machine, made just down the road in Coventry in the UK.

Adam: “The Revotruck combines a revolving cabbed dumper with off-road trucking capabilities. The design of the machine offers great visibility for safer operation on site and comes in either a 9 or 6 tonne load capacity.

“Unlike other site dumpers the Revotruck chassis has a central oscillation, so operators can receive a load before rotating the entire cab at the touch of a button to face the direction of travel with no visual obstructions.

“We have worked with the team at Perkins Engines to optimise the performance of the Revotruck, which is powered by its Stage V- compliant 74hp turbocharged engine. This delivers 380Nm torque at 1,380rpm and features a DOC and DPF as standard to minimise environmental impact.

“Revotrucks are already being delivered to sites, with operators able to select from three steering modes (2-wheel, 4-wheel and 4-wheel crab). This enables them to get in and out of tight spaces, making it perfect for various applications from housebuilding to infrastructure.”
